Vengoal, I have, but is not a single programme (about 40 objects now, green screen). The API requires SQL statements stored in an SQL package. To store SQL statements in such an SQL package I use QMQRY, and SEU, before calling this API to create the SQL package (if not existent) and prepare the SQL statement (and add it to the SQL package this way). I put some data on the SQL statements in DDS generated files. A front end allow me to select a statement and run it in the background. It also gives me the possibilty to pass values, using parameter markers. The statements can also be executed in batch programmes. Output is to a generic printfile (internally described 1 field per line, length 198), csv- or txt file to the IFS (using the UNIX service programme from the iSeries Toolkit). I work on this at slow times, still improving it and adding to it. It is not a commercial product, either. The starting point is an article from Midrange Computing, already mentioned. At the site www.mcpressonline.com there is also a new utility that uses embedded SQL with the EXECUTE IMMEDIATELY option. So, my question is: in what way would you implement this API? Others have given good alternatives. just like to know. Regards, Carel Teijgeler. *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 7-10-03 at 17:24 Vengoal Chang wrote: >Does someone create a command used the QSQPRCED SQL API ?
