Wouldn't any search want to be able to seek by any word, and return all
references that hit? One could search by Size, by BOOTS, or by 519 and one
would expect this record to appear for all searches, wouldn't one?

Scott,

the problem with accepting ANY noun, is that you lose any control.

take your example for instance:

"BOOTS, #519, SIZE 12D "

turn it around to read:

SIZE 12D BOOTS, #519

size is a noun too.

I liked Joel's suggestion to build a kind of wizard to build your
description. unless the description is too free form to allow that.
