Bill, Your original thinking is correct, it is truth. ;) in otherwords, you can't use a variable name as the open opcode's arguement. you could, on the otherhand, I think, use it as the arguement of an SQL statement. hth, rick ----original message-------- I'm thinking the answer 'NO' but I'll ask anyway.
