Patrick, I do a lot with SQL embedded in free-form code using the JLPEX editor. I place all my SQL statements into subroutines to keep from having to jump into and out of free-form. Some people use procedures instead of subroutines. This works well for me and IMO makes my code easier to follow. As far as the editor goes the only issue I can think of is that the verify option does not work with embedded SQL. I just go straight to compile.
