Hans, >Perhaps the pace of language improvement doesn't satisfy everyone. When I compare the enhancements added to RPG III through the 80's and early 90's to the enhancements which have happened very regularly duing RPG IV's life, I'm a happy camper. While we all probably have our own pet wishes of what would already be in the language, I for one think the team has done a tremendous job in advancing the language during the last decade. Better yet, I don't see any indications that will stop in the short term either. And even if it did, RPG IV is so much more advanced now than the stagnat versions of RPG II and RPG III that I used for years (and years...) that it would continue to be my language of choice for most application development on the iSeries.
