Are you sure the date isn't a null in the file? I think interactive SQL shows a '-' when the date is null but most other programs I've messed with that display a null date show '0001-01-01' instead. They use ISO Dates in all files. If a date is not required at the time they put 0001-01-01 in for the default date. In ILE I tried to compare the date field with 0001-01-01 and could not make it work. First how can I see if the date is equal to 0001-01-01 and second how can I fill the date with 0001-01-01. Thanks
