I did a little looking and you're right. I just don't understand how all of the 
repackaging and renaming of things lately could have confused me <G>.

I don't think that 5722ST1 is part of 5722WDS.  The confusion may come 
from the fact that if you order the Enhanced package (unlimited 
interactive) you get 5722ST1.

BTW, isn't the SQL Developer's Kit part of the WebSphere Developer's Tools 
(5722WDS) which replaced the separately chargeable compilers? If you're 
current on maintenance, you should be able to order this and get all of 
the compilers, some other stuff (which I think includes the SQL Developers 
Kit), and the new client side tools as well.

On my system when I do:
DSPOBJD OBJ(QSYS/CRTSQLRPGI) OBJTYPE(*CMD) DETAIL(*SERVICE)
I see:
Licensed program . . . . . . . . . . . . :   5722ST1    V5R2M0

But when I use SEU, (hey, been awhile, with CODE and all), I prompt SQL 
and then do a SYSREQ to display the job and see a couple of programs 
beginning with QSQ... in the call stack.  Instead of 5722ST1 being their 
licensed program 5722SS1 is.  Therefore it makes sense that yes, you can 
prompt the SQL but you just can't compile it without the development kit. 
Either:
1)  Get the kit
2)  Send your compiles off site
3)  Convert to SQL CLI api's
4)  Stop using SQL.

Me, I'd go for option 1.

I'm trying to create a SQLRPGLE program. I'm able to enter my SQL
statements with no problem, but when I go to run the CRTSQLRPGI command
I get an error stating that command is not found. I'm able to prompt the
SQL source in SEU and the proper SQL prompt screen is displayed. Is the
SQL source entry something that is supported at V5R1, but can't be
compiled unless I have the SQL Developers kit installed? Just curious.
