Rick, Since we've gone to more modular design, I've resigned myself to jumping all around the source. We're stuck on WDT 5.1 for the time being (our workstations can't handle WDSc) and I don't use the GUI debugger much. We specify H Option(*NoDeBugIO) in every program. While using STRDBG, the cursor stays in the SQL subprocedures so I can EVAL SQLSTT after every key press. Hopefully someone else in the group has had your problem or knows more than me (actually, I'm sure the last is true) -- I'm out of here for a few days of vacation. It's like I have the source before the pre-compiler did any work. How do you get around this? Rick
