The code is protected by the BSD license, not the GPL.   That means that
all you have to do if you want to use it is follow the simple conditions
that it sets forth in the license.

If you go to the URL that I posted, or the URL that Bob posted later,
you'll see the license info at the top.  There are 4 conditions listed
there.  The only one of those conditions that's difficult to deal with
is condition #3, the rest are very easy to abide by.

As to whether or not an RPG version would be considered a "modification"
or "redistribution" of the original...  I think you'd have to ask a
lawyer.   Personally, I'd just abide by the 4 conditions, and not risk it,
or write the code from scratch, if needed.
