I'm curious what your AS400CMD4 looks like when it's called.  I have very 
similar code that looks to do exactly what you are doing, just a little 
different:

I've worked on this all day yesterday and can't see why the CALLP to QCMDEXC 
won't work.  The call keeps failing.  Can anybody with
