He (and many others I am sure) feel that IBM is not doing itself any favors by tying the iSeries to Redmond's product lines. WDSc is _currently_ windows only. You have to start somewhere and no matter what we think of windows, it is the market leader. People were using windows long before IBM "supported" it. Remember OS/2? IBM have stated a number of times that they intend to provide versions that will run on Linux etc but at present there are a number of native methods being used by different parts of the product that have yet to be ported to other environments.
