Joe,

I you specify options(*VarSize) on the LikeDs parm, you can pass a flat char
field to the proc.  So the DS subfld, the one you want to dcl as LikeDs
would be declared as char with the size of the likeds ds.  Then when the
subfld is passed, it maps correctly to the likeds parm.
