Joe - Is your goal to use LikeDS, or do you just want a nested data
structure? If the latter, you can use pointers:

D d101 5
D d102 5
D d103 6
D ds02 ds based(ptrXYZ)
D d201 3
D d202 3
C eval ptrXYZ = %addr(d103)
(of course, you do still have to explicitly define subfield d103)
