Even the "experts" can't get threads and mutex's right.  Check out iSeries 
Navigator / Application Development / Interprocess Communication.  Under 
there you'll see shared memory and semaphore sets.  I have to use these 
because, on occasion, Domino will leave these hanging even after I stop 
all Domino tasks.  Before, it involved either an IPL or some nasty a$$ 
green screen method that was ugly and scary.  (Gee, was this really a 
Domino set or am I aborting something that will fry my iSeries?)  The 
Navigator method is much cleaner.
