Since people are asking about Excel to DB2, Kemetech has a product for this
as well.  We have bought it, but no one has really used it yet, so I can't
comment.

I used to use CPYTOPCD and send it over as a .prn file and that could be
messy with what you are talking about.  Not to mention it required the
users to think briefly when using the import wizard in Excel!

CPYTOIMPF has worked very easily for me *so far*.  Like Bob said, open it
in Excel, no wizard or anything and save it as your .xls file.

And the reply that comes up on that all the time is if you have a string
field that just happens to be all numeric, it makes it numeric.  Or some
such argument.  I think that's in the archives also.  I just remember
something like that.
