CPYFRMIMPF is the command you want to use, this will take the csv file and dump it into a predefined 400 database file. If I have a CSV file and I want to be able to get it into a basic field defined DDS file, can I use the CPYTOIMPF command? Right now I have been taking it into FoxPro and then saving it back out as an .sdf type file. Then the CPYFRMPCD command takes it from there. Tracy L. But still a few questions remain: Using CPYTOIMPF, I was able to create Source Member containing formatted data i.e. character strings in ' " ' and numbers separated by ' , '. But I would like to generate an Excel file from this member without any human intervention i.e. programmatically. How do I achieve that? Please advise.
