Scott,

If you don't get the F-spec prompt the F isn't in position 6 of your line.
That might be throwing everything off.  I am making the assumption you are
editing with PDM.  What release are you at?

Thanks for the info but when I prompt I dont get the correct prompting for
an f spec I just get a single line to enter.  If I change the source type
to RPG I can prompt but it then wouldn't allow me to put a space.  dang it
again
