And I agree with you agreeing... :-)

As an added comment, I've generally viewed command objects as being similar to 
EXTPGM() prototypes for CL. And as such, they aren't even limited to ILE CL. 
They are usually the best way to ensure parm data arrive at the RPG program in 
the expected formats.
