The only way to use numeric parameters in a SBMJOB command is to define them as 15P5 in the program being called. You could also build a command string that uses hexadecimal notation for the numeric parameters like this: CALL PROGRAM (X'1234567F' X'12345F') That would work for parameters with lengths of 7 and 5. Note that if you have numeric parameters with even field lengths, such as 4, the hexadecimal length still needs to be five. Hope that helps. Donald R. There are numeric parameters being passed, from RPG2 back into CL1, which then is passed to RPG3 when it is submitted. RPG3 crashes because of Decimal-data error. Here's the kicker. If I change the CL program so that it does NOT submit pgm RPG3 but, rather,calls it inline, there's no Decimal-data error. <clip>
