We are doing this via RPGIV, but using a constant for the tab field in the
EVAL statement. Once we have the file built, we are using CPYTOPCD to
create the PC side of the data. I hope this helps!

Subject: Tab delimited file

List,
I found several threads in the archives for this, but none that seem
to tell me exactly what I need to do. I want to create a tab delimited
file, and it really doesn't matter if I do it in an RPG IV program or
with CPYTOIMPF. I tried

Eval Outline = Field1 + X'05' + Field2 + X'05'

but go compile errors. I also wrestled with the CPYTOIMPF command and
kept getting 'command ended in error' messages, which were not very
helpful. I'm probably having problems with my stream file. Can anyone
give me a push in the right direction?

Thanks much,
