Given that _Microsoft_ themselves released "Rotor" last year I don't think they'll have a problem with it. From the Rotor download page (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3A1C93FA-7462-47D0 -8E56-8DD34C6292F0&displaylang=en): "This implementation builds and runs on Windows XP, the FreeBSD operating system, and Mac OS X 10.2. It is released under a shared source initiative." -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. Maybe some day. I'm not sure how they're going to get along; I think it's going to depend on how MS views them. I'm not sure how Microsoft is going to look at a project that basically removes the Windows requirement for .NET applications. My cynical view was that .NET (or more precisely , C# and the CLR) were the MS attempt at a Windows-only Java.
