If you MUST use a timestamp, then do a UTC timestamp. That way it doesn't matter if your clock gets set back (assuming that you also change QUTCOFFSET) and it doesn't matter if you move to a new time zone, the code will continue to work. Also, if you must use a timestamp, make sure that you verify that the number is in fact unique, and if not, increment it. But really, I don't see why you'd use a timestamp.
