Original message from Frank: > What I want to know is can I safely compile AS/SET programs using the CLOSQLCSR(*ENDMOD) parameter on the compile. ______ I'm sorry I don't have an answer on this one. I'd like to know what you find if you don't see it on this list though, because I have a feeling that this will be a BIG issue for us too as we start making mods using AS/SET 8. *ENDACTGRP for an SQL program can cause other problems too, when you're operating in a persistent activation group like *DEFAULT. Say the program ends abnormally for some reason, I think I remember some of my cursors staying open in that case (not BPCS programs). I didn't like that. If BPSC is intentionally leaving cursors open between programs so that this parameter is indeed required to be *ENDACTGRP, I'm going to . . . take it and ask for another I guess.
