Hi list: Tough one for me. I have a *DEC data area that is composed by a date and time fields. My purpose is to be able to access them and then, at the end, to update them. Here is the code: * * Work fields D PORFSHDTAARA s 13s 0 dtaara(PORFSHARA) D PORFSHFLD ds D PORFSHDTE 7s 0 D PORFSHTIM 6s 0 Then, I do this: * * Retrieve last update date/time processed C *lock in PORFSHDTAARA But when I try to do this: C Eval PORFSHFLD = PORFSHDTAARA Is when explodes, saying "*RNF7416 30 1 The types of the right and left hand side do not match in the EVAL operation." Obviously, it is because one is numeric (PORFSHDTAARA S(13,0)) and the other one is not (PORFSHFLD DS(13)). I can't define the DS entry as *DEC with 13,0 so I am cornered. This is so simple that I am too confused. I know you guys can help me quick here. Thanks in advance! Peter Vidal Pall Aeropower Corp.
