You could use the DSPOBJD command and send the results to an *outfile. Then, declare that file in a CL program. You could then read that file and determine if there are any P21* files on the system. Using the sub string function, you can then take the filename as a variable and create the necessary member. Tracy L. A company will be sending us a file that will get FTPed to QGPL as P21nnnnnnn, where nnnnnnn is the number of seconds since 01/01/1970. How can we determine the name of the file? I checked the forum but CHKOBJ was as close as I found. Can I check for the existance of P21*?
