Yes, thanks.  I'm happy to see my first post generated such a lively
discussion.  Can we discuss a less controversial subject like programming in

Can you elaborate on that?

I'm operating under the impression that my system is constantly trying to
optimize things by using commonly used areas of the disk into RAM.  And
I'm also under the impression that when memory is at a premium, it's using
DASD to provide me with more space to store variables, program data, etc,
in.

If he's worried about running out of memory, isn't the use of DASD
relevant?

Please share your wisdom.
