Angela,

You either have to use DBGVIEW(*SOURCE) or *LIST. Many people, (me
included) prefer *LIST. This allows us to debug in production without
having to copy the source to that machine.

You could try submitting a DCR to see if IBM will change that.

As David says, try the RPG list. There are some compiler writers, etc,
that monitor that list pretty closely.

        Subject: H spec

I came across the ability to put compile time specs into the H
specs. I added to my hspecs the following code:

  H option(*SrcStmt:*NoDebugIO)

However I compile my program ( no longer doing an F4 to prompt and
supply these) but when I do strdbg it says there is no source code.

If I prompt the compile and change the dbgview to *source then I
am able to put this program in debug. I know I can't force the
dbgview on the H spec yet, but shouldn't this work without have to
force dbgview to *source?
