This will be my only comment on .NET: you have to wonder about the fact that Microsoft has been "debranding" anything that has to do with .NET and removing the .NET name. It's obvious to me, anyway, that .NET is not making any sort of headway into the marketplace, and the only way Microsoft will get it in is through the back door (for example, as part of Windows 2003).
