Dan, Summary: It checks to see if the order is valid. For more information I search my Notes documentation database for ValidOrder. Detail: How a valid order is determined is subject to change. However, this way I don't have to remember to change every program - just update the service program. Can you define what READ does, or do you need to look at that machine code? I'm sorry Jon, but please, please answer this question: The example is in a lengthy program written by someone you don't know... c If ValidOrder( Order# ) Please tell me what ValidOrder does with Order#. If you answer correctly, I will forever be sworn to use procedures for every little function, even a SETON LR! > But - I have work to do or my missus will kill me - and this thread is in > danger of being as never ending as the /free and MOVE debates Want to have the last word, eh? Answer the above question correctly, and I won't ask you another. Promise! <g> - Dan __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
