I'll try to help, however I recommend that you move this over to the midrange-l list. Search the faq site for ftp. Look for the redbook "Cool title about the AS/400 and the internet" (One of those things that they stuck in there and never got around to changing the title.) Common questions: How do I send/receive from/to the 400? (See FAQ) What about security? (See ftp exit point programming in the redbook, or the faq site listing vendors of exit point software.) How do I know when someone has sent a file? (A little exit point work mixed in with some serious archive searching.) I'm guessing FTP is FTP no matter what system you're on? We do traditional EDI through VANS right now, but in the future would like to get into using more and more FTP. I know it's a very general question, that shows my lack of understanding. In the windows world I use CuteFTP and Dreamweaver so I simply click buttons. On the AS/400 we have FTP software called TrailBlazer (I believe). I'd like to understand the whole process and tracking or confirming from the ground up. Thanks in advance. _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
