We've been using Gumbo's RDA for over 10 years when we realized that the old RLU just wasn't cuttin' the mustard. RDA works exactly like SDA so there was no time spent learning the new software. Code/300 may be better, but I am not familiar with it. Rodolfo M. Man, excellent tip! I'm going to remember that one. IMHO, I think external printer files would have become a lot more "popular" with programmers if IBM had given us a *well-designed* SDA look-alike for PRTFs. RLU doesn't count; I put it right up there with S/34 style SEU (1 line at a time). If they had given us something anywhere close to Gumbo's RDA, I think more programmers would have embraced it. We're close to installing v5 here, and I'm going to try to get permission to load Code/400 on my box. I'm curious to check out the report designer I've been hearing people talk about. BTW, I have no financial interest in Gumbo. - Dan --- alan <steelville@attbi.com> wrote: > In fact, once or twice I used SDA, saved the source, made some changes > to it, changed the source type to PRTF, and voila! __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
