I'm struggling with trying to figure out a style for my /free code and when and
where to use procedures and built in functions, yadda, yadda, yadda. The
conclusion I came to with whether to use MOVE or my own BIF was why do
something like this:

ISOnumericDate = cvtProc( USADate : *ISO );

when I could just do this with same parameters/variables and the existing code
functions:

*ISO     move     USADate    ISOnumericDate

But like the three different examples offered for this same problem. It's a
total judgment call.

Unless you write your own procedure/function to do these sorts of common
date manipulations. What goes on inside the function (MOVE) is irrelevant
to the fact that you can use your own function Exactly The Same Way you
would use an IBM BIF.
