Once you end the TRCJOB, you can print the job trace to get information on response time, CPU seconds, #Reads, #Writes ets in the Summary file in a spool file.... probably this will help you understand the current status of the programs....but how to identify the program that uses max CPU or the particualr I/O that is too costly ... I am not too sure. I am using TRCJOB to try and identify excessive I/O and redundant processing, but it's difficult to decipher the output. Has anyone got details on how to analyze the TRCJOB output or can suggest a better tool. I am hoping you can provide information on techniques or ways to define variables that are much more efficient in ILE or old coding techniques to be avoided in ILE. Is there a Redbook available on ILE performance. Thanks in advance for your help.
