Eric,

I too have used procedure recursion, though it was in someone elses program
that I downloaded (Scott Klement wrote it). I would have never even
thought to try it, since i'd always taken as gospel that rpg didn't do
recursion at the program level or even at the subroutine level. i assumed
it would be the same at the sub-procedure level too.

but now that I know it can be done, I see where it would be pretty darned
useful, though not just a little bit scary.

where I'm using recursion though, it would have been nearly impossible to
duplicate the process without it.

Don,
I have several procedures that use recursion, and they work fine.

No. RPG does not allow recursive calls.

Can I add on to this question...can a module call itself within the same
program?
