I've never used TEST(D E) on a 20s 0 field. I've always used it on numeric fields of 6 or 8. Don't know if that matters though! -----Original Message----- From: Chris Beck [mailto:CBeck@good-sam.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 26, 2002 2:54 PM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: TEST(DE) with Numeric feild -- Could someone possibly explain to me why I am getting the results I am from the following code: D NUM1 S 20 0 INZ(20011039) D CHAR1 S 20 INZ('20011039') TEST(ED) *MDY NUM1; // %ERROR = *OFF - ??
