Ken: A user space can work very well, especially when you don't know how much space to allocate; as you bump the pointer up and update the memory content, the *usrspc is automatically extended up to the 16MB limit. Of course, if the *usrspc is not in QTEMP, any other program in any job (with authority) can obtain a pointer to the space as long as the name is known.
