You can suppress entries in QHST by not submitting jobs for every database update. If you really need to do asynchronous updates in a trigger process(?!?) I strongly suggest running a server program in batch that listens to a data queue. Have the trigger place requests on the DQ and the server will pick them up and get your work done. The point is to reduce the number of submitted jobs, and therefore the number of QHST entries. If this wasn't helpful, perhaps the MIDRANGE-L list will be more productive. --buck
