Mike, read the Java section of Chapter 11 of the ILE RPG Programmer's
Guide.

There's a type-mapping table in the section called "Prototyping Java
Methods" on page 160, but I recommend you read the whole "RPG and Java"
section of chapter 11.

The RPG prototype must exactly match the Java version of the method.  A
Java method is located by the class, the method name and the method
signature.  The signature is determined by the parameters and return
value.  So if you don't code those correctly, the RPG compiler will get
the wrong signature, and the method will never be found.
