You could try validating the domain name.  This has come up on this list a
few times.  And I am sure that our sockets guru's may have some answers.
For example, if you go to
http://www.zmailer.org/mxverify-cgi.html
Now, I am sure a good sockets programmer can use this logic to verify
domain names.

I have a new application in which the user types in an email address.

Besides checking for a single '@', a single '.', and no blanks, are
there any other things that I should be checking for when validating an
email address for correct syntax?
