If you read my response to your original message, you'll see what removing VALUE works. As to the DFTACTGRP(*NO) keyword, you need that because the extended RPG IV language features, such as memory allocations, binding, and procedure calls only works when you are NOT running in "RPGIII compatibility mode". DFTACTGRP(*YES) is that compatibility mode, so no extended features are supported.
