Hi All,

History of this company.
1970's thru 1980's S/36 code thrown over to AS/400 from their old box.
S/36 AR/AP/GL home grown package from other company
down the street that kind of sort of did what they wanted.
Just make it run attitude in 1/4 of the time needed.

After going live and code going thermal nuclear. They call me.
Everything expected yesterday now.

Sometimes I loose my cool and fall into their pain.

**Must force one appl. and one problem at a time until it gets done
correctly.**

Earlier is me slipping mentally. :)

Thanks All
Bill H.

No Buck,

Worst than that for me, the main subroutine for whole process not working
-no records in driving file.
That chain / z-add never had a chance.
 So unbelievable that file wasn't
being populated. I never looked. :).

Thanks Again and Take Care,

Bill H

Hi Bill,
I think we have all been in those shoes.
I probably wasn't too clear. You need to keep the Z-ADD as well as use the
I for initialise. You need the Z-ADD because you can have:

initialise DS
good CHAIN
  AR has data 1
bad CHAIN
  AR still has data 1

I suspect you had
blank DS
bad CHAIN
  AR has decimal data error
