-- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Thank you Joe. That was pleasing to read. Before I go all teary-eyed here, I originally agreed with you. In a desrperate attempt to write lots of subfiles fast I stumbled on the load-all and discovered in most of the cases the load-all worked and could be in production in under an hour from the time the user specified the layout. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: rpg400-l@midrange.com Date: Thursday, October 10, 2002 01:54:53 PM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: Load all subfile > From: Booth Martin > > If they prove me wrong so what. Booth, I've stayed out of this discussion primarily because my gut feel is opposite yours but I don't have any real benchmarks, and so I think I'd be more argumentative than productive. However, I did want to comment on this particular statement. This is an excellent approach to this list - floating new ideas and seeing whether they rise or fall. I may disagree with you, but if I take the time to actually analyze your approach, I may find that it has some merit, especially in specific situations. And since you're willing to float it as your own opinion rather than some sort of Truth From On High, then I think you're performing a service to the list and its users. Thanks again for sharing your viewpoint, even though mine might be an opposing one <grin>.
