The field must be null-capable first before utilizing the %NULLIND function Any null-capable field should be first checked for its null status then the value. Nightmare? What's better putting a fictitious date value instead? -----Original Message----- From: Booth Martin [mailto:Booth@MartinVT.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 09, 2002 8:28 AM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: DATE FIELD QUESTION ... -- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] oh my gosh. The reason I ask is because I have a file that I'm adding the date field to but only want the date to be in certain records. I checked the archive list and couldn't find anything.
