Jerry, this is unrelated to your question, but don't ever call a CEE
function without passing all the parameters even if they are documented
as "omissible".  You must pass *OMIT for any omissible parameter you
want to omit.  Otherwise, unpredictable "bad things" can happen.

(This doesn't apply to "optional" parameters for *PGM APIs which can
safely be left out.)
