Steve, Do not get me wrong, I agree with your idea. It should be THE solution. Better for everyone. Easier to adapt and to integrate with other languages. They (read ibm) are already working a bit like that but are still too carefull. In my humble opinion, i say that opensource programming will make a difference in sharing and developing software and standards.
