INFDS contains information about the error, the indicator allows the program
to trap the error without seeing white messages.  So you need them both.

With respect to Bob Slaney, I would still use the INFDS for communications
files rather than %status, because I need the major minor return codes.
Aside from that, MONITOR looks great if you don't need to support back-level
systems.
