To the programmer, there's not a lot of difference in using a procedure vs a
subroutine.  What I'm trying to say is that you can usually achieve the same
results whether you put your code in a procedure OR a subroutine, BUT:

1) It is easier to see what values the procedure is expecting via the
arguments being passed (tight coupling, which is good)...whereas using the
traditional RPG subroutine it is not always immediately clear which fields
in the program that the subroutine is using and/or possibly modifying (loose
coupling, which is NOT good).

2) Procedures are Cool!
