Capt J,

Sounds like you are experiencing the famous 'parameter is getting garbage
in it when I submit to batch' problem.

look here for an explanation and a workaround (questions 2 and 3)

----original message----
Hi All,

I don't know what's going on here.

I have an RPG program that builds a Query select string (for an OPNQRYF)
from screen entries.

This string is passed to a CLLE to run the OPNQRYF...

If I let the CL run interactive, it runs fine... but if I resubmit the same
CL (from within the CL) to run in batch, passing the Query Select Parameter
back to itself, I get a "Expression on QRYSLT parameter missing
parenthesis..." Yet the job log shows the query select string as being
fine...

Any clues?

TIA,
Capt.j
