Hi Scott, >I'm not certain why you need to know all of this, however, unless you're planning to create your own FTP client or server? The scenario has come up where we are in passive mode and when I try to do a GET to a particular port, based on what the server sent back to me to use, (I now know that from what you and Jim have said) it will not let me connect to that port because it says the connection was refused or something like that (sorry I don't have the exact message). So I was either going to use your FTPAPI tool and check the response of each FTP command or find another way. I think I will try the SENDPASV command first to see if that will solve the problem. Thanks Jim and Scott for your responses, they are very much appreciated! Aaron Bartell
