Either (1) You're writing an RPG program to act as an HTTP client, (2) You're writing your own web server in RPG or (3) You're using RPG as a CGI script for an existing web server. 1) To make your RPG act as an HTTP client so that it can make GET and POST requests from a web server, check out my (free/open source) HTTPAPI utility: http://klement.dstorm.net/httpapi/ Take a look at the "EXAMPLE1" & "EXAMPLE2" source members, they show how to do GET and POST respectively. 2) Writing your own web server is a big job. Much too much to cover here... You might start, however, with my sockets tutorial: http://klement.dstorm.net/rpg/socktut/ 3) If you're trying to write an RPG program that acts as a CGI script, to respond to a PUT or GET with an existing web server and client, you'll probably want to ask this question again on the WEB400 list.
